Philip qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1978 with a national firm in Bristol. He joined the predecessor firm of Maxwells in 1979 and became a partner in 1990.
Philip is an all-round General Practitioner but with specific knowledge of Company Audit, Solicitors’ Accounts and Personal Insolvency. He is also the Secretary and Treasurer of ICAEW Chartered Accountants South West, a post which he has held for many years.
Philip is well known locally for wearing colourful ties and a large beard which has never been shaved off in more than 40 years.
His interests are primarily public transport and related infrastructure and he can often be found at bus stations, railway stations and airports.
