Experience & Specialisms:

Mike joined Maxwells as a trainee accountant in 1989. He qualified as a Certified Accountant in 2002 and a Chartered Accountant in 2008. As a trainee Mike was involved in numerous audits and accounts of small and medium sized companies. Mike then gained considerable experience in all aspects of both corporate and non-corporate accounting and has attained a good knowledge of the taxation of those entities and personal taxation. He has also become a qualified Sage software advisor and has a good knowledge of all software from Excel through to accounting software such as Xero & QuickBooks. Mike maintains the IT infrastructure within Maxwells. He also enjoys advising clients in the use of their IT and in their day to day processing. This enables the client to get what they want out of their own systems and helps them to monitor their own profitability. He is happy to remotely log in to clients systems and give straightforward advice to enable them to achieve this is the best way possible.

Outside work:

Mike enjoys spending time with his family, socialising with friends and trying to keep fit… usually in that order! He enjoys watching all sports and keeps trying to improve his golf handicap.
