Who we are
Maxwells Financial Management Limited is a company that has been established to offer the best independent financial advice to clients of Maxwells Chartered Accountants or indeed anyone requiring a first class service that is clearly and fairly priced. We seek to offer clients all of the benefits that a close working relationship between their Accountant and Financial Adviser can bring.

Maxwells Financial Management Limited is an Independent Financial Adviser, required by law to offer clients advice that is best for them, and to select investment products from the whole market.

The adviser that you meet will be a qualified professional with many years experience in the financial services industry, who will want you to fully understand the advice on offer and be confident that it represents real value to you or your business.

To ensure that we offer our clients the best possible service, which has been independently vetted for compliance with the latest financial services legislation and best practice, we are appointed representatives of the M & E Network Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. The M & E Network is part of the Tenet Group, which is one of the largest independent networks of independent financial advisers in the UK.

The service we offer
Our objective is to provide comprehensive advice at fair value.

We can provide advice about the following:-

• Investments including unit trusts, ISAs, OEICs and existing PEPs and TESSAs, tax planning and the creation of long term investment portfolios.
• Pension planning for Directors, including both insured and self-administered options.
• Employee benefit schemes, including group life and health plans, and all types of pension schemes. Our service can include advice on various aspects of tax planning, key man insurance and succession planning.
• Retirement planning for individuals, including the self-invested alternative and options at retirement.
• Mortgage advice, including residential and commercial, remortgages, mortgage health checks and buy to let schemes.
• Inheritance tax planning, and dealing with potential long term care costs later in life.
• Personal life, health and critical illness insurance.
• Overall financial reviews and "health checks.
• Trustee investment advice.

What it costs
An initial fact finding meeting is completely free of charge, without a specific time limit. If you decide after meeting us that you want to take advantage of our service, then you will be offered the choice of paying for the advice by the traditional commission approach or paying us a pre agreed fee. The choice is entirely yours, and you can select the approach you prefer on each occasion that you need our services.

We will always tell you how much commission is payable, and how it relates to the cost of work that we have done. In many cases we may be able to reduce the commission to enhance your investment. If you prefer to pay a fee, we will be able to significantly cut the initial cost of most investments, sometimes eliminating the provider's set up charge altogether.

Although we will make no charge for the initial interview, we will ask you for comprehensive information about your current financial position. This will be recorded on a standard questionnaire in due course. We are of course registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and we do not disclose information to third parties for marketing purposes.

After an initial discussion, we will review with you the service we think is appropriate for your circumstances and agree our remuneration basis.
